Our client is an established Construction contractor providing a full range of Civil Engineering Construction, Industrial / Residential Building and Development Services, currently seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor with a proven track record for the successful commercial delivery of building and civil engineering projects in the North East of Scotland.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Preparing tender and contract documents including bills of quantities with the architect and/or the client
  • Undertaking cost analysis for repair and maintenance project work
  • Assisting in establishing a client’s requirements and undertaking feasibility studies
  • Performing risk and value management and cost control
  • Administer all aspects of subcontract accounts including procurement and payment
  • Understand the implications of health and safety regulations
  • Identifying, analysing and developing responses to commercial risks
  • Analysing outcomes and writing detailed progress reports
  • Responsible for the effective management of projects and to ensure all projects are completed up to the specified quality requirements, be on time and within budget
  • Job Requirements:A candidate must
    • Qualification in Quantity Surveying and the ability to demonstrate a proven track record in quantity surveying with suitable experience
    • Have strong commercial and financial knowledge
    • Have sound knowledge of contracts
    • Have excellent communication and motivation skill
    • Have the ability to prioritize own work and to work under pressure
    • Experience of working within a Main Contracting environment / organisation
    • Extensive experience in dealing with client professionals and subcontractors
    • Excellent organisational skills and be competent in MS Office
    • Candidates should preferably be qualified or working towards Degree or HND standard.
