Job Title: Food and Beverage Manager

 Job Description:

To plan, organise, direct and evaluate the operations of the Food and Beverage department. Great customer skills are required to combine with management skills, ensuring labour and financial control are managed and maintained.

Responsible for the smooth running of all food and beverage outlets as laid down in the Standard of Performance Manual. To ensure the guests are served to the highest possible standard, whilst ensuring a consistent standard of service is achieved throughout.

Role & Responsibilities:

Business activities:

·Taking responsibility for the business performance of all area of the

·Restaurant and bar;

·Analyzing and planning Food and beverage rotas;

·Preparing reports at the end of the shift/week, including staff control, food

·control and sales;

·Creating and executing plans for department sales, profit and staff

·development;

·undertaking the role of duty management when required

Front of house:

·coordinating the entire operation of the Restaurant and bar, during

·scheduled shifts;

·control and support supervisors

·managing staff and providing them with feedback;

·ensuring that all employees adhere to the company’s uniform standards;

·meeting and greeting customers and organizing table reservations;

·advising customers on menu and wine choice;

·recruiting, training and motivating staff.

Housekeeping:

·maintaining high standards of quality control, hygiene, and health and

·safety;

·checking stock levels and ordering supplies;

·helping in any area of the restaurant and bar when circumstances dictate;

·comply with all legal requirements in respect of health and safety, welfare

·of the staff and customers;

All staff of the company are required to make themselves available for

·training and communication meetings, for which advance notice will

·normally be given;

·all staff must attend the fire training as required by law and to be familiar

with the departmental responsibilities
